Inner Harmonia: Manual for How to be in a Session

  1. Assume every client is at least as wise as you — sometimes more.
    Behave accordingly.

  2. If you ever think, “I know exactly what they should do,” drink some water.
    You’re probably dehydrated, not enlightened.

  3. Do not fix people.
Your job is presence, not repairs.

  4. Silence is powerful.
    Don’t rush to fill it.

  5. When you feel like giving a long lecture, ask a short question instead.
Bonus points if it gently ruins their day in a good way.

  6. Share your humanity, not your chaos.

  7. If you catch yourself being impressive, immediately lower your voice.
    Humility looks better on everyone.

  8. Interpret gently.
Offer a feather, not a bowling ball.

  9. Your intuition is a guest, not a tyrant.
    Let it speak, not shout.

  10. Avoid the guru glow-up.
If someone puts you on a pedestal, hand them a ladder.

  11. Resist the temptation to be right.
Curiosity is more magical than correctness.

  12. Let clients move at chrysalis-speed.

  13. If you believe you’ve grasped their whole story, you absolutely have not.
    Ask another question.

  14. Do not become addicted to gratitude.
It’s touching when people thank you.
It’s dangerous when you need them to.

  15. Keep your own inner landscape weeded.
    Untended gardens grow trip hazards.

  16. Celebrate progress even when it looks like two steps forward, one existential crisis back.
    This is normal.

  17. End every session grateful and slightly humbled.
Someone trusted you with the architecture of their soul.

  18. Remember: the relationship heals more than your theories.

  19. And above all: walk beside them, not ahead — even if you brought the map.

  20. Play, play, play. Humor melts the ice.
